What’s the best gift you can give to someone this Christmas?
The gift of FORGIVENESS…
Give it to someone even if he/she did not ask for it.
Give it to someone even if you think he/she doesn’t deserve it.
Give it to someone as an act of obedience to God.
Remember: That someone’s sin to you is far lesser compared to the sins you have committed against the Lord.
Remember: If you are a Christian, you are already forgiven. The consequence for your sins to be forgiven was great – the death of Someone, not just any “someone”, it is the death of the Son of the God of the universe HIMSELF.
Since you are forgiven, Be a Forgiver. (Pass it on)
Sometimes, the hardest person to forgive is YOURSELF.
It will be difficult to forgive others, if you cannot forgive yourself.
If you believe, you are already forgiven, so why act, think and feel as if you are not yet forgiven?
Your forgiveness of someone will also be your GIFT TO GOD – the GIFT OF OBEDIENCE.
Forgive for your own peace.
Consider that “Peace on earth” is not for everybody, it is only for those who believe.
Your forgiveness is a step of faith, a great way to start your new year.
Experience real “Joy to the world” by rolling to God your bitterness and resentment and by His grace, through faith, tell that someone, “I forgive you.”
I promise, as I have just experienced, your Christmas will never be the same.
Matthew 6:14, 15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
Romans 15:13 ¶ Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
The best gift to give to someone? Perhaps it’s also the best gift that you want to receive from someone. This Christmas season is the ideal time to share forgiveness. You received it, you also give it away. No wonder it’s called forGIVE.
